Good Practice

Having now completed this training package you should now be able understand how using DSE can affect you; so consider adopting the following good practice:

Take a couple of minutes each day before you start using your DSE to check:

• is your chair, seating position adjusted to suit you?
• is your chair comfortable and in good repair? – if not change it.
• is your screen at the right height to stop you peering and bending your neck?
• are your keyboard and mouse in the right place, tucked in close so you are not reaching to the side or front?
• is your desk or workspace tidy and ready to get on with your work?

Remember the most important thing is to – TAKE REGULAR BREAKS

Regular short breaks are better than long breaks from your DSE and are vital to stop your DSE hurting you.
