Introduction

Once you are confident that you understand more about mental health and have discussed it with your employees, it may then become apparent that some workplace adjustments are needed.

Many adjustments are straightforward and low cost and can make a huge difference to the wellbeing of employees.

In instances where the person’s mental health condition has been diagnosed as a disability, then you also have a legal responsibility to make reasonable adjustments.

This section of the course looks at some of the possible adjustments that could be made, including how to help an employee who is returning to work after taking time off because of their mental health illness.
